Mobile React Native Engineer - Platform

About the role

As a Mobile Platform Engineer, you will work alongside our development teams to ensure a highly automated software development life-cycle, as well as enable them to deploy our two React Native apps for the European and U.S. markets. You will work with cutting-edge technologies and initiatives that shape the vision of our Frontend & Mobile Platform, reducing bottlenecks, deepening domain expertise, and accelerating the delivery of mobile-first features.

What you'll do

• As an experienced Mobile Engineer, you will be providing a significant impact on our customers' experience with Raisin product by optimizing Mobile applications for performance and scalability
• You will drive internal platform efforts, improving development tools and Mobile application ecosystem according to modern principles
• You will research, assess, develop and maintain new technology solutions for our Mobile platform
• You will provide stable automated solutions for our internal customers to speed up Mobile application testing and delivery
• You will own, maintain and continuously evolve a large-scale Mobile monorepo, ensuring its scalability, reliability and long-term sustainability
• You will own, optimise and scale the shared CI pipeline, improving build performance, stability and developer productivity across teams
• Act as a "Mobile First Aid" point of contact, proactively unblocking engineers on platform and build-related issues
• You will continuously enhance the developer experience by streamlining workflows, reducing friction and introducing improvements across the Mobile toolchain

What you'll need

• You hold a university degree in Computer Science or related fields or equivalent practical experience
• You bring 3+ years of experience as a React Native developer, with a strong record of delivering high-quality, performant mobile applications for iOS and Android platforms
• You can demonstrate proficiency with React Native, React Hooks, Redux, React Navigation, and TypeScript, with the ability to build scalable, maintainable codebases
• You show strong knowledge and experience in managing monorepos and related challenges with the tools like Nx or similar
• You have a hands-on experience with integration, testing, code signing, and deploying apps through app stores, and familiar with CI/CD pipelines like GitLab, Fastlane, and Expo EAS
• You show a strong experience working with RESTful APIs and GraphQL, as well as integrating third-party SDKs and libraries into mobile applications
• You have a strong understanding of mobile app security, including secure authentication (OAuth, JWT), encryption, and data privacy compliance
• You have great communication skills in English
