Platform Engineer (Go)

About the role

You'll be a Platform Engineer at Trade Republic, Europe's largest savings platform serving 10+ million customers. You'll build robust, scalable self-service platforms that enable product engineers to deliver features faster while managing infrastructure complexity at scale.

What you'll do

• Build in-house provisioning and lifecycle management services in Go, from just-in-time provisioning to automated retirement
• Integrate directly with infrastructure endpoints and surface golden-path templates in the Internal Developer Platform
• Empower teams to spin up production services in minutes and instrument key developer metrics
• Define and monitor SLOs, burn-rates, and error budgets for every platform service
• Lead blameless post-incident reviews and automate safety guardrails
• Shape the platform roadmap end-to-end, working with product managers and explaining trade-offs to leadership

What you'll need

• 3+ years building backend or platform services in Go
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Helm, Terraform, and running production workloads on AWS, GCP, or other public clouds
• Passion for designing simple APIs for complex infrastructure
• Proven ability to make distributed systems reliable under real-world traffic
• Demonstrated ability to turn best practices into opinionated "paved roads"
• Clear, concise English communication skills

• Experience with the tech stack: Go, Kubernetes (EKS), Karpenter, ArgoCD, AWS, Terraform, Backstage, GitHub Actions, Prometheus, Loki, Grafana
