About the role

As our (Junior) Controller (m/f/d), you work directly with the CFO of Heartbeat AI GmbH and at the heart of our financial operations. You are joining a fast-growing energy tech company at an exciting stage where the financial foundations you help build today will directly shape how the business scales tomorrow.

What you'll do

• Own the monthly closing process (Monatsabschluss), ensuring accurate, timely, and structured financial reporting across the company
• Build and maintain financial reports that give our leadership team a clear picture of costs, revenues, and business performance
• Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning working closely with the CFO to strengthen our financial infrastructure as the company scales
• Work with structured, well-designed spreadsheet models every day — building, improving, and maintaining them to a high standard
• Dive into a variety of AI tools (i.e. Claude) to boost your and your team's efficiency in reportings and forecasting purposes

What you'll need

• Hands-on experience in controlling — whether cost, revenue, or sales controlling
• A degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field — a Master's degree is not required
• High proficiency in Excel; clean model structure, well-organized sheets, and solid formula work are second nature to you
• Excellent language skills in both German and English (C1/C2)
• Detail-oriented and structured, with a strong sense of ownership over the numbers you are responsible for
• Eager to learn and take on real responsibility in a fast-growing tech company
