Operations Manager - Battery Solutions

About the role

Join the Operations team for Battery & Flexibility Solutions to help build a leading energy platform for European SMEs. You'll take responsibility for scaling operational processes from customer onboarding to daily operations management within a virtual power plant (VPP).

What you'll do

• Manage and develop complete technical onboarding of new customers into the virtual power plant and initiate their electricity supply and direct marketing processes
• Take end-to-end responsibility for all operational processes, both strategic and operational, planning and driving initiatives independently
• Design automated, scalable processes to make operations future-proof, efficient and precise while defining playbooks from scratch
• Identify challenges early, make data-driven decisions and continuously improve quality and efficiency
• Collaborate with Sales, Product, Tech, Operations and external partners to ensure smooth onboarding and excellent customer experience

What you'll need

• Experience at energy companies, network operators, start-ups or specialized consulting firms, ideally in renewable energy
• Technical interest and familiarity with energy market processes - preferably experience in direct marketing, Virtual Power Plants, metering or battery storage control
• High ownership in ambiguous environments with ability to prioritize smartly and create scalable processes with business impact
• High quality standards with "zero defects" mentality
• Ability to operate confidently in constantly changing environments, make quick decisions and work with high independence
• Native-level German and very good English skills
