Senior/Lead Accountant

About the role

Join Parloa as a Senior Accountant to build scalable, efficient, and compliant accounting processes that support rapid global growth. You'll lead initiatives across technical accounting, reporting, and systems while partnering with cross-functional teams to transform finance operations into a world-class, AI-driven function.

What you'll do

• Design and implement scalable accounting policies and internal controls in line with IFRS & HGB
• Build systems and reports to streamline the month-end close process
• Prepare, review, and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and schedules
• Support audits by preparing schedules and responding to audit requests
• Analyze monthly variances and explain business drivers
• Collaborate with FP&A and cross-functional teams to solve process issues and drive improvements
• Partner with Finance Leadership on ad hoc projects and general corporate accounting matters

What you'll need

• Degree in Accounting or similar field
• 5+ years of accounting experience, ideally in tech or public/private accounting
• Deep knowledge of HGB; IFRS/US GAAP is a strong plus
• Strong analytical skills and track record of building efficient, scalable processes
• Detail-oriented, independent, and proactive in fast-paced environment
• Experience with inter-company transactions, consolidation, and foreign currency translation
• Fluent (C1+) in German and English

• Proficiency with NetSuite
