About the role
Lead a team of 4-5 designers, content designers, and researchers for GetYourGuide's new Comparison team. You'll focus on category verticals like adventure tours and shows, exploring how travelers compare and select activities across web and mobile platforms.
What you'll do
- Manage a team of 4-5 designers including content designers and researchers
- Execute the Comparison team's overall strategy and vision
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders across PM, engineering, UX research, and data analytics
- Guide team members with career development and performance goals
- Drive both short-term execution and long-term vision for activity comparison experiences
- Champion operational excellence balancing high craft with speed and impact
- Maintain high product quality through design reviews and cross-functional discussions
What you'll need
- 8+ years leading and managing teams of 4-6+ designers for consumer products
- 4+ years as design manager responsible for at least 2 complex verticals with measurable impact
- Experience in fast-paced environments solving ambiguity through structured design thinking
- Background as senior designer working on B2C product experiences
- Experience with test and algorithm-driven products and experimentation-driven design
- Excellent design craft and rapid ideation abilities
- Strong communication skills to articulate design decisions and make trade-offs
- Ability to influence product strategies while balancing vision with business impact
- Entrepreneurial mindset to navigate ambiguity and create actionable roadmaps
