Founding Engineer (AI/Product)

About the role

You'll be one of the first engineers at Delvo, building an AI-powered intelligence layer for strategic procurement end-to-end. This is a hands-on founding engineer position where you'll shape the product architecture and work directly with enterprise customers managing global procurement spend.

What you'll do

• Own core product areas end-to-end from AI agent orchestration to daily-use interfaces for category managers
• Design reliable LLM workflows with evaluation loops, guardrails, and production-ready observability
• Build real-time supplier data pipelines, normalization, and enterprise ERP system integrations
• Ship to production daily and collaborate directly with customers to iterate based on real feedback
• Make architectural decisions across the full stack covering performance, security, and developer experience
• Define engineering culture, tooling, and processes as the team scales from founding to full engineering organization

What you'll need

• Strong full-stack foundation with care for interfaces, backends, and their integration
• TypeScript and Python experience with Next.js and modern APIs
• Hands-on experience with LLMs, retrieval, embeddings, and production AI trade-offs
• Builder mindset with default to shipping, learning from users, and fast iteration
• Comfortable working with ambiguity and figuring out what to build, not just how
