About the role
As a Financial Analyst within FP&A at Taxfix, you will serve as a finance business partner to senior stakeholders and strategic advisor to management. You'll drive cost transparency, budget ownership, and decision support while leading planning, forecasting, and performance management with a focus on sustainable cost steering and value creation.
What you'll do
- Act as finance business partner for selected functions, supporting budget owners in planning, forecasting, and cost management
- Own and enhance OpEx tracking and variance analysis vs. budget and forecast
- Lead monthly cost reviews, identifying risks, savings opportunities, and efficiency levers
- Support preparation of financial materials for management, board, and financing topics
- Take ownership of selected planning areas including vendor spend and discretionary costs
- Prepare and analyse monthly financial reports for internal and external stakeholders
- Deliver ad-hoc analysis and deep dives to support strategic and operational decisions
- Challenge assumptions and promote data-driven decision-making across the organisation
- Drive automation within FP&A using tools like Pigment and AI-supported analysis
- Redesign and streamline financial processes to increase scalability and transparency
What you'll need
- 3+ years of experience in FP&A, controlling, or similar analytical finance role
- Strong hands-on experience in budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and cost controlling
- Excellent Excel skills and experience with planning tools and cloud-based finance systems
- Proven ability to partner with senior stakeholders and explain financial topics clearly
- Structured, independent thinking with ability to turn complex data into clear insights
- Solid understanding of financial statements and accounting principles
- Familiarity with unit economics, cost efficiency metrics, and ROI thinking
- Pragmatic, business-oriented mindset with strong sense of ownership
Nice to have
- Background in consulting, investment banking, or highly analytical role
- Experience working with data teams and dashboards
- SQL, Python, R, or BI tools knowledge
