Software Engineer (Fullstack)

About the role

Join Scout24 as an experienced software engineer with strong frontend focus to build impactful products in a large-scale environment. You'll own features end-to-end from discovery and architecture to production and operations, working with modern React and TypeScript applications.

What you'll do

• Design, build, ship, and operate full-stack applications with strong focus on modern frontend development using React and TypeScript
• Take ownership of features from architecture decisions to production monitoring and delivery of reliable, scalable software
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to translate business goals into robust technical solutions
• Develop and maintain services across frontend, backend, and database layers ensuring scalability and production-readiness
• Contribute to technical direction, evaluate trade-offs, and continuously improve systems, tooling, and engineering practices
• Operate services in production following "you build it, you run it" mindset, monitoring system health and improving reliability

What you'll need

• Deep experience building modern web applications with React and TypeScript, including state management, performance optimization, and testing
• Full-stack engineering mindset with comfort working across the stack and backend systems using Kotlin and Spring Boot
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools to accelerate development and increase productivity
• Familiarity with modern engineering practices including CI/CD, observability, monitoring, and incident response
• Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
• Problem-solving abilities in complex environments with comfort navigating ambiguity and iterating quickly
• Ownership mindset with initiative to proactively clarify requirements and suggest improvements
