Business Systems Lead

About the role

You'll own the financial and operational infrastructure of a Series A AI startup, building and implementing systems that enable the business to scale. This is a technical builder role where you'll design data integrations, implement ERP systems, and create automated workflows while reporting to the Head of Finance.

What you'll do

• Build and maintain data pipelines from multiple sources (Stripe, CRM, ops tools) into a central data layer
• Develop and maintain BI environment, dashboards, data models, KPI infrastructure, and reporting layers
• Lead evaluation, implementation, and rollout of an AI-native ERP system including chart of accounts design and process mapping
• Own integrations between ERP and adjacent systems: Stripe, Payhawk, Sequence, banking providers, and payroll
• Own the month-end close process infrastructure, ensuring data flows correctly from source systems to reporting
• Support FP&A with technical infrastructure including model inputs, automated actuals pulls, and variance data

What you'll need

• 5+ years in finance systems, finance engineering, or business operations role
• Hands-on experience implementing or heavily configuring an ERP system
• Technical skills including scripting, API work, and building automation workflows
• Experience with data pipeline tooling and BI platforms
• Familiarity with multi-entity accounting environments and intercompany flows

Nice to have

• Experience building automations with n8n, Claude Code, Stripe Connect, Sequence, or Payhawk
